Hickey Heads

For those of you interested in the topic of high compression heads, you might want to look
this upl. An article titled "Head Hunting" by Racer Brown appeared in HOT ROD manazine in the
February 1955 issue, and has been reprinted on pages 132-137 in a book titled THE BEST
OF HOT ROD MAGAZINE (1949-1959) which was published by Motorbooks International in
2003. This article contains photos of the heat-treated aluminium Hickey Head, 8:1
compression ratio, for MB/GPW/Henry J/Alstate L134 engines. Up to 17% rear wheel hp
increase is claimed.
